All too often I don’t understand why things are the way they are, but I have to follow the instructions I’m given. I’m not an artist with an ego to feed, and I don’t think you have to be a tool to succeed in the art world (maybe I’m wrong in this). That said, it would be nice to have a little more faith in some of the direction given. Why does an artist working with another artist create so much friction anymore?
Anyway, I still had fun with this.
Well, there are two images for the 4X. The original black and white image combining Plog’s and Anthony’s vision, then there is the cover art that was solely created by Anthony. Both are similar, and yet uniquely different. I attempted to blend elements from both, but again this went through several revisions after that. I’m sorry that you don’t like it, but I think you’ve made that clear by now. I’m not offended; I just don’t know why you keep bringing this up. I doubt Anthony, or Plog like it ether, but what am I supposed to do? I can only do my best within the parameters I’m given. Sucks, but I can only say that it was changed from my original interpretation and move on. It’s not like I was in this for the money. I was only attempting to help the BT community to get a better end sculpt. Again, I’m sorry if that didn’t work out for you, or Anthony. I think it would have been wise to get both original artist to chime in on this, but those in charge ether didn’t think of this, or didn’t want to get too many voices in the mix. Perhaps I should apologize for not thinking outside of the box enough to contact Anthony myself, but in my defense I did try this in the past. Good luck, and congrats on you getting a green light for future work with BT.
